Red-painted Chip-carved Pine Spoon Rack, America, late 18th/early 19th century, pierced rosette finial on backboard, three-tier rack decorated with chip-carved rosettes and zigzags, each tier with four spoon slots, (minor shrinkage crack), ht. 20 1/2, wd. 10 in.
The paint may be of later origin. The back panel is slightly bowed, the lower two slotted racks have horizontal shrinkage cracks.
